The
following drawings were produced over a three year period. The first were produced
during my time in Paris where the pulsating atmosphere of the City influenced
me and by the Japanese art I saw which was a powerful influence. The next works
were produced on my return to the Czech Republic. Initially I chose to work with
only red oil-pastel and pencil. Later I added more colours. The ascendancy of
the colour red in my drawings expressed my inner feelings.
